Logging in

Sentry uses your phone number for authentication. No password needed.

  1. Go to sentry.qikbite.asia/app.
  2. Enter your phone number (Myanmar format: 09xxxxxxxxx).
  3. You'll receive a 6-digit SMS code. Enter it on the next screen.
  4. You're in — the session lasts 30 days.
First time? Your account is created automatically when you verify your phone for the first time.
If you don't receive the code, wait 60 seconds and try again. You can request up to 5 codes per hour.

Dashboard overview

The dashboard has two groups of pages: Monitor (daily operations) and Manage (configuration).

Digest

Daily incident list with foot-traffic stats. Your home screen.

Cameras

Live frames, recordings, and timeline scrubber.

Health

Device status, uptime bars, camera health.

Sites

Create and edit store locations, trading hours, timezone.

Devices

Enrolled devices, enrolment codes, agent versions.

Site picker

Pages that show site-specific data (Digest, Cameras, Health) have a site selector at the top. Your selection is remembered across pages. The first site is selected by default.

Status strip

At the top of the Digest page, the status strip shows fleet-wide counts:

Sites

Total number of store locations.

Devices

Total enrolled devices across all sites.

Online green

Devices that sent a heartbeat recently.

Offline red

Devices that haven't reported in the expected window.

Daily Digest

The Digest is your main screen. It shows POS exceptions flagged by the nightly analysis, along with foot-traffic data.

Date selector

Use the date picker to choose which day to view. The default is yesterday — the correlation analysis runs overnight on the trading day that just ended.

Stats line

Above the incident list, the stats line shows:

Visitor counts and dwell times appear only after the analytics pipeline has processed the day's footage. This runs on the same nightly schedule as the correlation analysis.

Incident list

Each incident row shows:

Click any incident to open its detail page.

"No incidents for this day" is a good thing — it means the analysis found nothing unusual.

Reviewing incidents

Click an incident to see the full details, video evidence, and AI observations.

What you'll see

Actions

Dismiss

Mark as not suspicious. The incident stays in the list but is no longer flagged.

Flag for follow-up

Escalate the incident for further investigation.

Add note

Write a note for the record (e.g. "Confirmed with manager — legitimate void").

Share

Generate a signed link to share the incident with someone outside the system. See Sharing incidents.

Cameras & recordings

The Cameras page lets you see what your cameras are recording and review past footage.

Live view

The latest frame from each camera is displayed. This updates periodically — it's not a live stream, but a snapshot of the most recent uploaded frame.

Recordings

Browse recorded segments by date and time. Each segment is a 30-second clip. Use the timeline scrubber to jump to a specific time.

Raw recordings are retained for 7 days. Evidence clips (promoted from flagged incidents) are kept for 12 months.

System health

Monitor the health of your devices and cameras at a glance.

Device health cards

Each device shows:

Camera health

Under each device, cameras show their own status:

A device showing offline for more than a few hours usually means the mini-PC lost power or internet. Check the physical device first.

Managing sites

A site is a physical store location. Each site has its own timezone, trading hours, and devices.

Create a site

  1. Go to the Sites page.
  2. Click Add Site.
  3. Enter the store name, timezone (e.g. Asia/Yangon), and trading hours.
  4. Click Create Site.

Trading hours

Trading hours define when the store is open. The nightly analysis only looks at footage within this window. Default is 09:00–21:00.

The timezone is critical — it determines which UTC hours map to your trading day. Asia/Yangon is UTC+6:30.

Devices & enrolment

Each mini-PC running the Sentry agent is a "device". Devices must be enrolled to a site before they can upload data.

Enrolling a new device

  1. Go to the Devices page.
  2. Click + Enrol Device.
  3. Select the site the device belongs to.
  4. Click Generate Code — you'll get a 12-digit pairing code.
  5. On the mini-PC, run: sentry enrol --code YOUR_CODE
Enrolment codes expire after 30 minutes. If it expires, generate a new one.
Re-enrolling a device issues a new token and invalidates the old one. The dashboard will warn you before re-enrolment.

Device list

The Devices page shows all enrolled devices with their site, agent version, health state, and last heartbeat time.

For detailed installation instructions, see the Setup Guide.

Using an NVR (Hikvision / Dahua)

A Network Video Recorder (NVR) connects multiple cameras through a single device. Sentry can record from each NVR channel as if it were a standalone camera.

How it works

Each NVR channel exposes two RTSP streams — a high-resolution main stream and a lower-resolution sub stream. Sentry records both: the sub-stream is uploaded and analysed, the main stream stays on the local disk as an evidence buffer.

Hikvision RTSP URL pattern

Hikvision NVRs use a predictable URL format for each channel:

URL format

rtsp://user:pass@NVR_IP/Streaming/Channels/{C}0{S}

Where {C} = channel number, {S} = stream (1 = main, 2 = sub).

Channel 1 Main (2K)

rtsp://admin:pw@192.168.1.64/Streaming/Channels/101

Channel 1 Sub (360p)

rtsp://admin:pw@192.168.1.64/Streaming/Channels/102

Channel 2 Main (2K)

rtsp://admin:pw@192.168.1.64/Streaming/Channels/201

Channel 2 Sub (360p)

rtsp://admin:pw@192.168.1.64/Streaming/Channels/202

Adding NVR channels

Use sentry add-camera for each channel:

sentry add-camera -l "NVR Ch1 Counter"
  -u "rtsp://admin:pw@192.168.1.64/Streaming/Channels/102"
  --main-url "rtsp://admin:pw@192.168.1.64/Streaming/Channels/101"

sentry add-camera -l "NVR Ch2 Entrance"
  -u "rtsp://admin:pw@192.168.1.64/Streaming/Channels/202"
  --main-url "rtsp://admin:pw@192.168.1.64/Streaming/Channels/201"

-u is the sub-stream (uploaded and analysed). --main-url is the 2K local evidence buffer. Getting these backwards uploads 4× the expected bandwidth.

Auto-discovery with --nvr

For automatic NVR discovery, use the --nvr flag:

sentry discover-cameras --user admin --nvr

This will:

  1. Probe the network for ONVIF devices
  2. Detect NVRs by recognising multi-channel profile patterns (Hikvision, Dahua)
  3. Display each NVR with its channel count and per-channel stream details
  4. Auto-add all channels with labels like "HIKVISION NVR Ch1", "Ch2", etc.
--nvr implies --add. All resolved devices are added without interactive prompting. Use --add without --nvr if you want to choose which devices to add.
Auto-discovery has been tested with Tapo cameras. Hikvision and Dahua NVR profile parsing is code-complete but not yet verified against real hardware — if it fails, fall back to manual URL entry above.
Dahua NVRs use a different URL pattern: rtsp://user:pass@NVR_IP/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0 (main) and subtype=1 (sub).

Bandwidth and storage

Each NVR channel counts as one camera for storage and bandwidth:

Sharing incidents

Generate a signed link to share an incident with someone who doesn't have a Sentry account (e.g. a manager or law enforcement).

  1. Open the incident detail page.
  2. Click Share.
  3. Choose how long the link should be valid (default: 3 days).
  4. Copy the generated link.

The share link gives access to:

Share links are time-limited and single-use tracked. Each time someone opens a link, it's recorded. Don't share links in public channels.

FAQ

When does the nightly analysis run?

The correlation and analytics pipelines run between 02:00 and 04:00 local time on the trading day that just ended. By the time you check the dashboard in the morning, yesterday's digest is ready.

What happens when the internet goes down?

The edge agent uses store-and-forward. It keeps recording and queueing data locally. When connectivity returns, everything uploads automatically. No data is lost for outages up to 60 minutes (or longer if disk space allows).

How much disk space does the agent use?

The agent records the sub-stream (640×360 at ~1 fps) for upload, plus the main stream (2K) as a local buffer. Typical usage is 2–5 GB per day per camera. The janitor automatically cleans up files older than 7 days, and reclaims space when disk usage exceeds the configured threshold.

Who can access the dashboard?

Access is role-based:

By default, managers do not have dashboard access. This is intentional — the manager is frequently the subject of detection. Contact support to grant scoped manager access.

Is the dashboard available in Burmese?

English is the current language. Burmese localisation is planned — the dashboard has a translation scaffold ready for a Burmese string bundle.
